Jammu and Kashmir News: Children orphaned by terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir will be eligible to avail the benefits of reservation for admission in MBBS and BDS colleges. In this regard, the Board of Professional Entrance Examination Jammu and Kashmir has issued a detailed notification.
Jammu and Kashmir News : There is relief news for the children affected by terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Now children affected by terrorism in the valley will get reservation for admission in MBBS and BDS courses. For this, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination has issued an order. According to the order, the students affected by terrorism will get reservation in MBBS and BDS seats in the state according to the central pool system.
According to the order, children orphaned or victims of terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir will be eligible to avail the benefit of reservation for admission in MBBS and BDS colleges. To take advantage of the reservation, students affected by terrorism will need to pass at least a medical entrance exam. Apart from this, they have to apply separately for quota. Merit will be selected from among the applicants.
In fact, the central government has fulfilled the demand of the residents of Jammu and Kashmir, who have been facing the brunt of terrorism for the last several decades. People affected by terrorism demanded that their children should also be given reservation in MBBS and BDS seats. Because due to terror, there has been a lot of impact on the education of children, especially those whose parents have been sacrificed by this terrorism. There have been many terrorist incidents in Doda, Ramban, Kishtwad, Udhampur and Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu province, in which hundreds of people have lost their lives, while in Kashmir also, Anantnag, Shopian, Pahalgam and Kupwara have a lot of terrorist activities. More children have been affected.
Many soldiers and policemen were also martyred due to terrorism in the valley, whose children also demanded that they get reservation in MBBS and BDS courses. Many families have been affected due to Pakistani shelling in the valley. This is the reason that now the Union Home Ministry has accepted the demand of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and it is believed that children affected by terrorism should get the benefit of reservation in these seats.
